So after some dabbling in Macromedia Freehand, I've developed my logo further and above is the result. Feedback would be gratefully received as I'm struggling to find a logo that suits the company we're designing for.
I've done two different versions as the logos will be black and white, no colour as I think this suits the design I've done. I'm open to suggestions!
EDIT: the first set of logos on the left have a font that i have drawn myself from scratch. the second set, on the right, have a pre-made font that I have developed for use with my logo.
Thanks for reading,
Sue

I think it looks a bit... cartoony. Good idea, just not executed quite right. I'm not even sure exactly what it is that makes it cartoony, but it just is. Sorry for the unhelpful comment, but I can't quite put my finger on it at the moment. I think it could be that it's not done quite precisely enough.
Like I said though, it's a good concept, and it has effective presence, shape and weight.
Fancy checking out my colour logo and commenting? Please :)
Hi Tom,
I totally agree with it being a bit too cartoony, I think its because I have drawn the font myself and not taken an existing one and developed that.
I think the next stage of my development would be to try a pre-made font and develop it into my logo.
Keep tuned!
